The World Bank has made a significant move to support vulnerable nations by reducing loan charges. Although I couldn't find information on the World Bank completely scrapping loan fees, they did announce a sharp reduction in the commitment fee it charges on undisbursed loan balances from 0.75 to 0.25 percent for the fiscal year starting July 1, 1989. This reduction is expected to save the Bank's borrowers around $200 million annually.

It's worth noting that the World Bank's lending policies and fees are subject to change over time. If you're looking for the most up-to-date information on the World Bank's loan fees and policies, I recommend checking their official website or recent news releases.
