WASSCE Resit Not For Nigerian Candidates - WAEC Nigeria

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Nigeria has announced that the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) resit is not for Nigerian candidates. This clarification was made to address the confusion and misinformation circulating among Nigerian students and parents.

According to WAEC Nigeria, the WASSCE resit is only available to candidates from The Gambia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Nigerian candidates who failed to obtain their desired grades in the WASSCE can, however, register for the General Certificate Examination (GCE) to retake the examination.

WAEC Nigeria emphasized that the GCE is the only resit examination available to Nigerian candidates. The council advised students and parents to disregard any information suggesting that Nigerian candidates can resit the WASSCE.
