President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of a federal university in Southern Kaduna, a move aimed at enhancing educational opportunities in the region. This development comes amid criticism of Yorubalisation, and it's seen as part of the Tinubu administration's efforts to address the developmental needs of Southern Kaduna.

Vice President Kashim Shettima revealed the president's consent during a condolence visit to the Kukah family. He also mentioned that discussions are ongoing to establish a Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.

The VP emphasized that the federal government is committed to the development of Southern Kaduna, citing the recent appointment of General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff as evidence of the government's focus on enhancing security in the region.

Bishop Matthew Kukah expressed gratitude to the VP for his visit and acknowledged the challenges faced by residents due to poor road conditions. He hoped that the federal government would prioritize infrastructure development in the region.
