Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been sworn in as the 26th Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The ceremony took place in the Oval Office, where he was sworn in by Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Neil Gorsuch. President Trump also signed an executive order, "Establishing the President's Make America Healthy Again Commission," which aims to investigate and address the root causes of America's escalating health crisis, with a focus on childhood chronic disease.

As Secretary, Kennedy will oversee all HHS programs, operating divisions, and activities, including a nearly $2 trillion budget. He'll also be responsible for divisions like the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Kennedy brings a strong background in environmental causes and children's health to the role. He's a renowned environmental lawyer, founder of the Waterkeeper Alliance, and chairman of Children's Health Defense.
