Police Recover Three Projectiles In Borno, Avert Explosion

Police authorities in Borno State have successfully recovered three projectiles in the Dala Kafanti Area of Maiduguri, averting a potential explosion. The recovery was made possible thanks to a tip from a local resident, Asabe James, who reported a suspicious sack containing unidentified items behind her house.

Upon receiving the information, the police swiftly moved to the scene, cordoned off the area, and conducted a thorough sweep. Their efforts paid off with the discovery of the three projectiles, which were safely recovered.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the projectiles were dropped by unknown persons early in the morning on the same day. The police have since sensitized community members on Explosive Ordnance Risk Awareness (EORE) and safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
