Police Arrest Suspected Ritualists, Armed Robbers In Kebbi State

The Kebbi State Police Command has made significant strides in combating crime, with the recent arrest of suspected ritualists and armed robbers in two separate incidents. According to a statement issued by the command's spokesman, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, police operatives in Koko town arrested a group of suspected ritualists on February 4, 2025, while they were attempting to sacrifice a 4-year-old girl, Amina Shamsu. 

The suspects, identified as Bello Abubakar, Jamilu Bello, Safiyanu Bello, Usman Inda, and an accomplice currently at large, Idrisu Yauri, allegedly conspired to defraud one Shamsu Adamu of ₦2,025,000 under the pretense of printing CFA currency worth thirty million.

In another operation, police officers arrested two armed men, Bashar Abdullahi and Babangida Hassan, who ambushed a commercial motorcyclist and his passengers in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area. 

The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Sani, commended his officers for their rapid response and urged the public to remain security-conscious and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
