To break it down, there are various roles up for grabs, including support staff and general duty personnel, and the applicants are spread across different ranks and cadres. For instance, under the Superintendent Cadre, there are 249,218 applications for general duty positions, while 27,722 applicants have HNDs and university degrees for support staff roles.

The Inspector Cadre has 115,634 applications for general duty and 12,952 for support staff, and the Customs Assistant category has 153,593 applicants for general duty and 14,400 for support staff.

It's clear that the demand for employment opportunities in Nigeria is extremely high, with over 573,000 job seekers competing for a limited number of positions. The NCS will now begin the process of reviewing and selecting candidates for the available vacancies.
