Marcelo Vieira da Silva Júnior, the legendary Brazilian left-back, has officially announced his retirement from professional soccer at the age of 36. With a glorious career spanning over 16 years, Marcelo has left an indelible mark on the sport.

Throughout his illustrious career, Marcelo played for several clubs, including:

Fluminense (2005-2007, 2023-present): Marcelo started his professional career with Fluminense, winning a Campeonato Carioca title in his first season.
Real Madrid (2007-2022): Marcelo spent most of his career with Real Madrid, winning an impressive 25 trophies, including five UEFA Champions League titles and six La Liga titles.
Olympiacos (2022-2023): Marcelo had a brief stint with Olympiacos, scoring three goals in 10 matches.
