Nissan
Nissan is indeed open to new partnerships, and one potential contender is Foxconn, the Taiwanese tech giant ¹. This development comes after Nissan ended merger talks with Honda due to disagreements over the terms of the partnership. Honda reportedly wanted Nissan to become a subsidiary, which didn't sit well with Nissan's leadership.

Nissan is now scouting for new partners to help it stay competitive, especially in the electric vehicle (EV) market. The company is considering collaborations with tech leaders outside the automotive industry, and Foxconn is seen as a potential ally. Foxconn already has an EV subsidiary called Foxtron, and a partnership with Nissan could give the Japanese automaker a much-needed cash infusion.

It's worth noting that Foxconn had expressed interest in acquiring Nissan as early as December, despite the ongoing merger talks with Honda ¹. While Nissan initially rejected the offer, the company is now considering some form of partnership with Foxconn.
