NELFUND disbursed N104b student loans nationwide – Tinubu

President Tinubu has announced that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed a whopping N104 billion in student loans nationwide. This significant investment in education aims to support students pursuing higher education in Nigeria.

The NELFUND student loan program is designed to provide financial assistance to students in tertiary institutions, covering tuition fees, upkeep, and other educational expenses. The loan is interest-free, making it an attractive option for students who may struggle to afford higher education.

To be eligible for the loan, students must have gained admission into a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria. Currently, 126 federal tertiary institutions have been approved for the student loan program, including universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and technical colleges.
