NBTE accredits 18 Kogi Poly programmes, approves eight more
The accreditation, which was announced by the NBTE, covers a range of programmes in engineering, agriculture, management, and social sciences.
In addition to the accreditation, the NBTE has also approved eight new programmes to be introduced by the polytechnic. These new programmes include HND Civil Engineering Technology, HND Mechanical Engineering Technology, HND Building Technology, and HND Architectural Technology, among others.
The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Usman Ogbo, expressed his delight at the news, saying it was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the institution's staff and students.
"We are thrilled to receive this accreditation and approval from the NBTE," Dr. Ogbo said. "It shows that our programmes meet the highest standards of quality and relevance, and we are committed to continuing to provide our students with the best possible education and training."
The accreditation and approval are expected to enhance the reputation of Kogi State Polytechnic and attract more students to the institution. It will also enable the polytechnic to access more funding and resources from government and other sources.
The NBTE accreditation and approval are a major achievement for Kogi State Polytechnic, and the institution is expected to build on this success to become one of the leading polytechnics in Nigeria.
