Make judicious use of increments in allocations, Presidency tells govs
The Presidency has called on state governors to ensure the prudent use of the recently increased Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursements for the benefit of citizens.
This was highlighted in a post by Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, on X (formerly Twitter).
Bwala announced that the gross total revenue distributed in the latest FAAC allocation reached an unprecedented N3.143 trillion, the highest figure ever recorded.
He credited this milestone to President Tinubu’s reforms aimed at closing loopholes and freeing up funds for development.
“Kudos to President Bola Tinubu for blocking loopholes and freeing up funds for rapid development,” Bwala wrote.
He emphasized that states and local governments are now receiving record-breaking allocations, signaling a transformative moment for the country’s governance and development.
Bwala urged governors to channel the increased funds into meaningful projects and initiatives to improve citizens’ welfare. “toI enjoin our State Governors to make judicious use of these increments in allocations in service of our people,” he stated.
He described this period as the beginning of the tangible dividends of the administration’s “Renewed Hope” agenda and encouraged Nigerians to maintain their trust in the government’s commitment to delivering impactful reforms.
“The time to harvest the different gains of the Renewed Hope is nigh; continue keeping faith with the Prophet of the Renewed Hope Prophecy,” Bwala added, reiterating confidence in the administration’s developmental vision.
