The Federal Government is taking steps to boost food security in Nigeria by planning to recapitalize the Bank of Agriculture (BOA). This move aims to make food more accessible and affordable for Nigerians. The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Aliyu Abdullahi, announced this plan during a courtesy visit from the Emir of Borgu, Barr. Mohammed Sani Haliru.

The recapitalization of BOA is part of the government's efforts to reform the bank and enhance its services to Nigerians. The Minister emphasized the importance of food production and accessibility, stating that the government must continue to produce food for its citizens.

This development is expected to have a positive impact on Nigeria's food security, particularly in regions with high agricultural potential like Borgu Kingdom. The Emir of Borgu expressed support for the minister's efforts and highlighted the kingdom's potential to contribute significantly to Nigeria's food production.
