Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut – Over 310 MPH (Theoretical)
Noted mainly for creating outstanding hypercars, Koenigsegg’s newest model is Jesko Absolut. It has race fuel running through its twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This car can do 0-60 mph in just over two seconds while producing up to 1600 hp. The automaker estimates that it will reach at least 310 mph as it exceeds 310 mph. Although such a figure is a product of computer simulations and not actual testing. Time will tell whether this Jesko Absolut can live up to the company’s high expectations.
Bugatti Chiron Supersport 300+ – 304 MPH
The Bugatti Veyron was the fastest car of the noughties. Its legacy lives on in the Bugatti Chiron Supersport 300+. This machine gets its power from an eight-liter engine with four turbos. As it generates a staggering 1600 hp. The vehicle hit speeds of 304 mph when tested at the Ehra-Lessien track owned by Volkswagen. Nevertheless, it does not hold an official world record. Because it only made one run at that speed in one direction. To be recognized as such, a car has to make passes going both ways. It seems like Bugatti would rather let it go as they may have something better for succeeding Chiron.
SSC Tuatara – 295 MPH
SSC Tuatara gives you an output reaching approximately1750 hp (1305 kW). Since October last year when SSC claimed their top speed was at 331 mph. Another test conducted recently showed that this was untrue due to a mistake made by GPS. Moreover, subsequent tests have indicated that the vehicle reaches up to at most 2095 mph. It is quite amazing despite not being superlative among others within this list.
Hennessey Venom F5 – 272 MPH (For Now)
The Hennessey Venom F5 continues to be an American supercar invention. A 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces power to the tune of 1,817 hp. The torque of 1,617 Nm propelled it from a standstill to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. The vehicle currently attains a maximum velocity of 272 mph. Hennessey plans on surpassing this mark by designing a car that can do more than 300 mph.
Rimac Nevera – 256 MPH
The Rimac Nevera is proof of the rapid acceleration capability of electric vehicles. Four electric motors in this hypercar generate up to 1,914 horsepower. It covers a quarter-mile distance in less than two seconds. And can reach as high as about or exactly at the rate of a top speed of 2056 mph. Despite being very fast, however, the Nevera has luxurious elements such as carbon fiber. It is used in its construction for weight reduction purposes. Thus, making it comfortable while still being performance-oriented.
McLaren Speedtail – 250 MPH
Speedtail was not developed by McLaren with world records in mind. But its highest-ever street-legal vehicle tops out at 1028 mph. This beats even Mclaren’s famous three-seater precursor McLaren F1. Instead of adopting wings like other cars with similar speeds, Speedtail’s sleek lines replace them. Thus, giving it an appearance like no other.

With a top speed of 250 mph, the Koenigsegg Regera equals the Speed Tail. This is the second Swedish brand car on this list. It combines a double-turbo V8 engine and an electrical motor to produce horsepower of 1,500. Unlike any other vehicle here, it can go from 0-250 mph in only one gear. The Regera just stays in a single gear whether cruising at 30 mph or going for its highest speed.
Aston Martin Valkyrie – 250 MPH
The Aston Martin Valkyrie is road legal even though it appears like a Le Mans racer. It looks like a Le Mans racer but can be driven on roads as well. Thanks to its hybrid V12 engine that displaces 6.5 liters and produces 1,160 hp. This F1-inspired road-racer can do 0 to 60 mph in just under two and a half seconds. With a weight slightly above one ton, nothing can beat the combination of power and lightness.
Pagani Huayra – 238 MPH
The Pagani Huayra’s elegant design provides evidence of its performance capabilities. A twin-turbocharged V12 engine sourced from AMG powers this machine with enough zest.
