"Everybody Loves Jenifa" has shattered box office records, pushing cinema sales to over N1 billion in just one week. This feat was achieved between December 20 and 26, 2024, with the movie selling tickets worth N426.9 million.

The film's success is not limited to Nigeria alone; it has also gained international recognition, hitting 30 international cinemas, including Australia, the US, and the UK.

Funke Akindele, the producer and star of the movie, aims to surpass her previous record-breaking film, "A Tribe Called Judah," which grossed N1.4 billion. With "Everybody Loves Jenifa" already breaking multiple records, including the highest-grossing single-day performance in Nigerian cinema history with N87.8 million, it's likely that Akindele's goal of N5 billion in total box office revenue is within reach.
