Mikel Arteta is indeed disappointed with Arsenal's lack of activity in the winter transfer window. Despite being short of attacking options due to injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka, the club failed to bring in any new players.

Arteta had expressed his intention to improve the squad during the transfer window, but unfortunately, they couldn't achieve it. He praised the club's "disciplined" approach, indicating that they only want to bring in players who can make a significant impact.

The club had reportedly bid for Ollie Watkins, but Aston Villa rejected the £60-million offer ². Arteta emphasized that the team will now focus on improving with their current squad, highlighting the importance of being "flexible" in the front line.

Arsenal's inactivity in the transfer window raises concerns about their attacking options, particularly with Kai Havertz being the only fit forward. Arteta mentioned that Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Martinelli, and youngster Ethan Nwaneri can play up front if needed, but it's not an ideal situation
