Onyeka Young Nwafor, a governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, has vowed to use force to end the sit-at-home order in the state if he becomes governor. He believes that the current administration, led by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, is not effectively tackling the insecurity issues in the state. Nwafor thinks that his government would first try to dialogue with those enforcing the sit-at-home order, but if that fails, he would use force by getting security forces to arrest those behind it. He also expressed his support for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), if it would bring peace to the southeast region.

This comes as communities in Anambra Central Senatorial Zone are experiencing tension due to attacks by gunmen enforcing the sit-at-home order, which has left several people dead and many more injured. The situation has sparked debates and discussions among citizens, with some calling for an end to the sit-at-home order and others blaming the government for not doing enough to address the insecurity issues in the state.

It's worth noting that the use of force to end the sit-at-home order is a complex issue, and it's unclear how effective it would be in addressing the root causes of the problem. Some argue that it could lead to further escalation of violence, while others believe that it's necessary to restore order and stability in the state.
