Gunmen who kidnapped Retired General Maharazu Tsiga, a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), are demanding a whopping N250 million ransom for his release. The abduction occurred on Wednesday night when over 100 gunmen invaded Tsiga's residence in Katsina State.

According to reports, the kidnappers contacted Tsiga's family and made the ransom demand. The Katsina State Police Command has assured that they are working tirelessly with relevant stakeholders to secure Tsiga's release. 

This incident has sparked widespread concern about the escalating insecurity in Nigeria, particularly in the northern region. Many are calling for urgent action from the government to address the growing menace of kidnapping and terrorism
